NEW Graphic Design & Printing Services Offered

Last fall I leased a Xerox DocuColor 252 digital printer to help with the numerous requests from schools for printed materials/products that were part of my obligation for contract fulfillment. The printer is working out great for the hundreds of certificates, planners, etc. that the schools needed. Since I was a printer (ink on paper printed on an offset press) in my younger days, I still have a fascination for graphics, design, and printing. So this was an absolutely wonderful toy for me to have. I still love getting new cameras and photographic equipment, however, getting this was something special.

We produce sports magazines, brochures, flyers, business cards, letterheads, event tickets, postcards, notepads, and the list goes on. My experience in photography, design and printing enables me to offer complete printing services to my clients. The ViSalus Project – End of Week 5

Doctor Visit – Blood Test Results Entry

After 5 weeks of being on the ViSalus weight-loss program, I have come to a stand still with my weight loss. However, the disappointment of not loosing weight was quickly forgotten by the great news of my quarterly doctor visit.  My doctor was quite impressed by my weight loss but was more impressed by my lab results that he had in his hand.  (see my lab result comparison at the end of this Blog entry) He asked me if I was on any type of weight loss or exercise program. I told him that I was using ViSalus. He was not all but somewhat familiar with the program. I told him that I had been on the program for 5 weeks and he thought that my weight loss was right in line with his idea of how a weight-loss program should work (2-3 pounds of weight loss per week) If a person loses weight too quickly, they lose muscle mass as well as fat mass at the same time. When/if  they resume eating at their old rate, they will gain back that weight back as all fat mass. It is important to do some exercising while dieting. Something that I desperately need to do. I spend massive amounts of time in front of a computer editing images during this time of year. I will be looking to start some type of consistent exercise program in the near future. Any suggestions? Comment on this Blog or FB inbox me if you have any suggestions.

The ViSalus program is designed to keep you healthy while dieting, but, it can’t give you muscle mass.  If you would like to learn more about the ViSalus program for your health and well being, Friend me on Facebook and we’ll talk.

End of Week 5:
Weight 184 Chest 41½″ Waist 38″ Hips 41″

Blood Test Results:
3 Months Ago:  A1c – 7.1   Cholesterol-267    Triglyceride-198    HDL – 56    LDL-171
Current:  A1c – 6.4   Cholesterol 103    Triglyceride 96    HDL – 53    LDL-111

I stopped taking my Cholesterol medicine about 4 weeks before I took this test because I thought it was making me sick. The Doctor told me to continue NOT taking the medicine to see if ViSalus is the reason for the improvement) More to come in three months…

The ViSalus Project – End of Week 4

I now have one month (actually as of this Tuesday September 7th) of the health shakes and vitamins by ViSalus under my belt. If anyone doubts the potential of ViSalus as a health and wellness product, then look no further than me. Over the past month I have lost 15½ pounds and over 2″ off my body. My energy level has vastly improved and my overall well being just seems better.

I started my transformation by investing in the Transformation Kit which was $249. Expensive you say?  Let’s put it in perspective. I spent about $350 per month in medicine that made me sluggish and fat. For $100 less, I lose weight, regain my energy and feel better. That sounds like a deal. Actually I saved more than $100 because of the savings in groceries for all the meals and snacking I was doing. By joining the program as a distributor, I am actually getting paid for losing weight!

Another test for the my health transformation is comparing my blood test results of my next visit to the doctor in a week or so. I will report on that…

If you would like to get paid for losing weight, give me a call and I will (pardon the pun) give you the skinny on how to do it.

Here are my results:
End of Week 4:
Weight 184    Chest 41½″    Waist 38″    Hips 41″

The ViSalus Project – End of Week 3

We are having network problems at the studio and I am posting this blog update from a laptop connected to the internet though our private wireless internet connection at the studio.

Success for the 3rd week in a row! I am really feeling better as a result of weight loss using the ViSalus Weightloss and Health Product.  I was disappointed at one point through the week because–although I had followed directions and eaten healthy–I gained a couple of pounds back. Some of the knowledgeable people at ViSalus told me that I was not eating enough! Can you believe that? I looked carefully at my diet and found that I had not been eating enough to obtain correct results. I tried that and voila, I am successful for the third week in a row by losing 3 pounds and ¾ of an inch.

Here are my results:
End of Week 3:
Weight 188 Chest 41½″ Waist 38″ Hips 41½″

ViSalus Project – End of Week 2

I am already seeing results from my diet…My clothes fit better I have more energy and my feet feel better. It’s amazing how much better you feel by just loosing a few pounds and inches. Although I felt like I lost more weight and more inches, the scales and the tape did not reveal as much weight loss as I had hoped for. The program calls for you to replace two meals a day with a ViShape Shake…I have to admit, rarely do I have two of the ViShape Shakes a day. I probably would be loosing more weight if I stuck to the plan. However, I am watching what I eat because of my earlier training that I received after I discovered that I had diabetes. But, I am still loosing weight! Yesterday, a friend of mine at church recognized that I had lost weight. He isn’t a subscriber to my blog or a friend on Facebook, so I know he didn’t know that I was trying to loose weight.
Here are my results:
End of Week 2:
Weight 191      Chest 41¾″      Waist 38″         Hips 42″

The ViSalus Project – End of Week 1

I am concluding that ViSalus does work, however, it’s less than a week since I received my Transformation Kit. So far, I have lost 5.6 pounds and lost two inches! I can already see a difference in my energy levels and overall health–which will be most necessary for the studio’s upcoming underclass school photography season.

The details are:

End of Week 1:
Weight 193   Chest 42″   Waist 38″     Hips 42″

The ViSalus Project – The Start Week 1

Being the owner /photographer of a large photography studio–coupled with my duties as minister of a small congregation, my work often demands a large toll from my body and mind. Due to health reasons, I have decided to pursue a new chapter of health in my life. Earlier this week I reported this on my personal Facebook page:

After changing doctors last fall, I have gained 16 pounds, I have low energy and have seen a slow decline in my health….My wife thinks it is because I am taking too many medications. I recently started the 90-day ViSalus challenge to see if that will help me lose weight and gain a little energy. I will try to report every week my progress…

I will attempt to use my studio blog to report the details of my progress–or failure…Before I can report on my progress, I must first establish a baseline as to where I am starting from. Readers can relate better to my situation. My stats are as follows:

Week 1:

Weight 198.6 Chest 43″ Waist 39″ Hips 42″

LHP Facebook Fan Page

Wow! It’s been a long time since I updated this blog.  I am not going to win any blogging contest soon. Taking the time out of my busy schedule for social networking is a struggle for me. I was reluctant to join Twitter–which was my last post–and I couldn’t keep up with that, however, my Facebook fan page located at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Zanesville/Leonard-Hill-Photography/299503517644 is up and working–and going pretty good.

Follow Leonard on Twitter!

I have probably been one of the longest social networking holdouts in my industry, but, here goes…I created an account on Twitter so that people can follow what I am doing.  I can’t hardly keep up with this blog. While this may not mean much to my studio portrait clients, it may mean something to my seasonal employees, professional associates and possibly my volume clients (Schools). My portrait clients can use this to look for me while on location. I know that my clients like to say, “ Hey” to me when they see me out. Our calendar is very very thick in September and October and it may  be interesting to see where we are from day to day.

I’ve already learned to be careful about who I add as followers. Within hours of creating my account, I received requests from (3) very unscrupulous sources. They were quickly deleted.

I may delve into Facebook in the near future–but that’s another post…Sign up or Log in and follow me today!
